Your Best Bow Pose Ever?

Your Best Bow Pose Ever?

Always seek the advice of your doctor or healthcare provider before trying any new exercise or exercise program.

“Where should I feel this?”

It’s a great question I get a lot as a yoga teacher. And it makes sense because it can be overwhelming when you’re interpreting so much new information while making a mind-body connection.

It happens to everyone.

In this particular case … in Bow Pose … you should “feel it” (in a good way) along the length of your entire spine … not a bunch of compression in your low back.

That’s what makes this important progression so powerful.

You’ll move, step-by-step, from one phase to another as you acquire the requisite strength and mobility to achieve bow pose.

This essential progression is also good for:

-Cobra (Bhujangasana)

-Upward Dog (Urdhva mukha svanasana)

-and other back bends

Be patient as you go through the steps …

1) Lift your skull

2) No hands!

3) Footprints on the ceiling

4) Sky Dive!

5) Bow Pose 🙂

Remember: you can regress as needed … it’s not always a linear progression forward.
